Dear Church, On Sunday we continued to work through the book of Revelation, Chapters 8-11. A reminder that the book of Revelation is a 1st Century revelation of Jesus; against the Roman Empire; to the Church(es); for the purpose of worship, encouragement and hope.
The key question being asked is: in the face of all kinds of persecution will, and how will, the church remain faithful to Jesus?
In the face of just one of those dreadful curses upon our land we rang the bell in protest, lament, prayer and memorial 101 times. The same number as the women who have been killed in Australia because of domestic violence.
Some other things we are participating in:
– *Hampers for Hope*: We are again participating in gathering nonperishable foods and general home supplies for families in need and families who are carers. Please bring them 27 Neils Street by December 7th.
*Christmas Carols*: Saturday 14th December Seafront Oval.
*Fairhaven Carolling*: Afternoon of Dec. 17th
*Christmas Day: *8am Service; 4pm Baptism; Dinner for anyone who wants to hang out afterwards.
*5th Sunday Lunch: *29th Dec. 12pm.
