Dear Church, We are rushing toward Christmas and there are plenty of Christmas events on.
This Saturday 14th from 4pm are the Hervey Bay Christmas Carols at SeaFront Oval. Chaplaincy has a stall as does Muzingu apparel.
17th December 4pm Carols at Fairhaven.
20th December Christmas lights, fun and fairy floss at 27 Neils Street.
Straight after the service on Sunday 22nd I will be leaving to drive to Roclhampton to catch up with school friends and extended Crighton family for a Christmas dinner.
25th December 8am Christmas service. 4pm baptism at first white stairs Scarness. Hang round, and share leftovers after if you wish.
28th December 5th Sunday Lunch
Free Food will be placed each week that Kindness Works has leftovers, in the fridge in our undercover area. Take what you need, share with others.
Attached are the notes and slides from Sunday. This Advent we work our way through the book of Revelation. 12-16 was a marathon but there is so much in it. More detail is in the notes attached than I had time to present.
January will be a time of rest. We will have a Sunday service but nothing else operates. but please make that a time of prayer and discernment. At our AGM David Hilder proposed that we think about our situation as a church plant. This prophetic call is an invitation for us as a body to think and do whatever we believe God is calling us to. So please be praying. Please don’t leave this to someone else. Toward the end of January we will hold a day of discussion and prayer with leaders and people dedicated to Christ and this church to discern future direction. More details to come.
