Dear Church, It is with great sadness that I write to you and inform you of the passing of Warren Sengstock. Warren passed away peacefully on Friday night 7th August after a short stay in Hervey Bay hospital. Attached are the sermon notes and slides from the Churches of Christ Sunday just gone. This week we lean into Romans Chapter 3 and next Sunday Donna Techau will share a word of encouragement with us. Take some time to reread Romans 3 in advance.
After the service on Sunday 13th Sept. We will have a member’s meeting. Be in prayer about it. Especially consider who might be led to continue to serve the church on Eldership.
Last week I was away at the funeral of my Uncle. Always a sad time yet it was also so beneficial to catch up with cousins and relatives who I have not seen for a long time. I also spent 3 days with my brothers and Dad; somehow my birthdate on my facebook was changed to Saturday just gone…..I suspect sabotage.
Remain faithful and encouraged that we serve a risen Christ and Jesus is crowned King of the World; seated at God’s right hand; and while in the present we experience the “now and not yet” kingdom of God; will one day return to set the world right and that on that day we receive our own resurrected bodies.
