Sermons and Slides

Dear Church, This Sunday gone was the third Sunday of Advent. Advent is an invitation to slow down from the commercialised nature of Christmas preparations to reflect on Christ’s coming; it is sitting with the “now and not yet” nature of the Kingdom of God. A recognition of the things Jesus achieved at his first coming; a finding of hope, peace, joy and love in the middle of this broken world and engaging with the deep longing for Christ to return so that God will dwell with His people in a resurrected world. I encourage you to find time to do that work.
Don’t forget the bake sale happening this week raising money for “beds” for the Amazing Grace orphanage. Containers can be collected from Neils Street. Stickers can also be collected on which you write what the product is and if it has dairy; nuts etc.
Drop off for baking needs to happen by 6pm Friday. We will then package and price ready for sale Saturday.
Christmas Eve Service will be Wednesday 24th Dec. 6pm. This will be a lovely time of reflection and worship.
Christmas Afternoon/night: if you are looking for a place to connect Christmas night come to Neils Street and hang out with the Crighto’s from 4pm.
New Years Eve: we will have a BYO BBQ, music, chill and stories and laughter. 6pm – 12:05am (or leave when it’s bedtime).
