Sermons and Slides

Dear Church, Attached are the sermon notes and slides from Sunday.
This is the period in the Christian Calendar known as Lent. This is not “Biblical” but if we do not take opportunities to follow the Christian Calendar then when? Certainly we could take any opportunity to fast, pray and reflect, but now is as good as any. I invite you to consider what you might fast or abstain from between now and Easter to better pray and reflect on Jesus and His death and resurrection.
For most people fasting won’t be for 40 days so as a part of our three big life goals: 1. Be with Jesus 2. Become like Jesus 3. Do the things that Jesus did I am inviting you to take some time to eat with someone else. This could involve having someone over, meeting them out or even having a cup coffee with someone. These could be people from inside or outside our congregation. Jesus spent lots of time eating with others. In the book of Luke Jesus is either eating a meal; on his way to a meal or leaving a meal when anything happens that Luke records. Meals are great opportunities to really get to know each other and go deeper.

This week we will examine a well known passage from John Chapter 3:1-18. I invite you to read it in advance and sit with it considering Jesus words to Nicodemus. What does Jesus language about being born of water and Spirit refer to and what does that look like in our life? What does this passage reveal to us about the nature of God?
Many blessings, [image: new email signature.png]
